One of the most beautiful characteristics of this crystal is the lace agate matrix which involves the whole Amethyst Geode, it brings colors as deep blue, to clear blue, gray and white, in an almost perfect line drawing.
Another fabulous and rare characteristic of this specimen are the Amethyst flowers (AKA Amethyst Rosettes or Stalactites), all of them are fully covered in Amethyst druzy and the amethyst druzy is filled by the Golden Goethite inclusions (AKA Cacoxenite), making this Amethyst geode shine like a Disco Ball.
Color speaking, I'd call this specimen a multi-colored Amethyst, it brings purple tones, to reds, to different hues of blue and everything contrasts beautifully with the banded agate.
Size wise, it is a medium size geode, with a little more than 12 in. tall and weighing almost 18 lbs. The matrix of the geode is composed by a thin layer of Basalt which was then covered by the Agate Matrix, because of its fragile nature, it had the need to be reinforced in order not to break
This exceptional Amethyst specimen comes straight from the source (my hometown) Ametista do Sul, Brazil, and brings the peace of mind of being Ethically sourced.
Definitely a Super Extra specimen which I have no doubt will look magnificent in your collection or decor. Please check the pictures to see more of it and feel free to message us in case you have any questions or particular request. 🤍
