Rare Agate Slice with Crystallized Center, and Natural Dragon DrawingHow would you call this agate? "Dragon Agate", "Agate with the Dragon Drawing", "Dragon Gemstone"? This is a superb slice of Brazilian agate, possibly one of the rarest, agate slices we crossed paths, and it's time to let it go.
This is a superb slice of agate, a delicate specimen that comes in a custom-made stand so you can fully enjoy it. A Soledade Agate that brings beautiful and intact bandings, rare natural Black and Yellow colors, and a mix of Circular and Horizontal Bandings with crystal growing in between. A truly artistic expression from mother nature that is available to you.
And what really calls for attention is the natural Dragon Drawing of this agate specimen, the dragon head can be seen breathing fire as if it was a human drawing. Fabulous!
This thin slice of agate has a translucent characteristic, and as you can see in the pictures, the backlight enhances and changes the color perspective of the agate, and a blossoming golden color shows up. A perfect display specimen to add nearby a window so you can see the color changes during a sunny day.
With no cracks and no treatment at all, the agate is of super-extra grade.
Outstanding from both sides, this yellow and black lace agate slice surely is an amazing addition to your crystal collection. Check out the photos and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
You may be wondering, how were the blue lace layers formed?
It's just amazing: agates normally form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, are filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of silica gelatin and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process and each layer contained different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right?
