With rare and gorgeous Agate Laces, this pair of Blue and White Agate Cathedrals brings world-class lines, a book-matching pair, as well as gorgeous Amethyst formed in its center. A pair of geodes that is a wonderful addition to any collection, space, or decor.

The Agate bandings in this geode are a chapter apart, the evolution of the agate layers showcases the whole process of growth, with millions upon millions of years recorded in this specimen. The layers started with a dark color of blue and gradually turned into lighter tones of agate until the white layer formed in the center.

And to crown their aesthetics, the middle layer brings shiny Amethyst Yellow calcite, giving a luster effect to both specimens.

It is very important to highlight the fact that these Agate Geodes with Druzy formation are in their purest form and no treatment was applied to them. It was cut and polished in order to enhance its natural beauty, and due to its delicate matrix, the geodes had their back reinforced.

You may be wondering, how the Blue Lace Layers were formed?
Agates form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous basalt (volcanic) and over time it's filled with layers of water with high concentrations of Silica in it. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of jellied Silica, and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process and every layer had different impurities in it, that way, forming bands of different colors. Mind-blowing, right?
