A Highly Aesthetic, Sculptural Citrine Geode Cave
Description
Highly aesthetic in both formation and color, this large Brazilian Citrine Geode Cave combines a broad Golden Yellow crystal interior with multiple rounded Stalactite Flowers and natural Calcite crystals scattered throughout the formation, creating a specimen with an unusually sculptural personality.
The first thing that immediately stands out is the unusual Stalactite Flower formation growing from the lower portion of the cavity. Covered entirely in sparkling Citrine druzy, the rounded formations rise above the crystal bed, creating a sculptural, three-dimensional landscape inside the geode.
Another special characteristic of this piece is the rich Golden Yellow tone of the druzy. Thousands of small reflective crystals cover the interior, creating a sparkling effect throughout the cavity. Natural Calcite crystals can also be seen growing among the Citrine formations, adding another mineral detail and a light contrast against the golden color.
The original dark basalt matrix remains preserved around the outside, while the wide-open cavity allows the entire interior formation to be appreciated at once. Mounted on a custom-made stand, this is a substantial collector specimen with excellent color, depth, and natural aesthetics.
