Large Elestial Alligator Quartz from Coronel Murta, MG
Imposing, sculptural, and rare, this Elestial Alligator Quartz is a true masterpiece from the famous Coronel Murta region of Brazil. Its tower-like structure rises dramatically, with distinctive large plates of smoky citrine quartz formed as a second-generation growth atop milky quartz. A specimen that embodies not only rarity and beauty but also immense geological significance.
The specimen immediately captures the eye, with the first striking detail being the stunning elestial composition of the “Alligator” quartz. It takes its name from the resemblance of its large crystal plates to an alligator’s hide. Many of the glassy, transparent smoky quartz crystals show distinctive darker edges and are doubly terminated.
It displays remarkable transparency and a reflective quality, with a rich toffee-yellow tone that, toward the top, shifts into warm orange hues from hematite inclusions.
For the perfect display, we recommend placing this specimen in a well-lit cabinet with a strong backlight to highlight its full beauty.
100% natural and in pristine condition, this Elestial Alligator Jacaré on Feldspar/Quartz Matrix is far more than just a mineral specimen – it’s a once-in-a-lifetime treasure from the heart of Brazil. Its exclusivity, combined with its aesthetic beauty and rich spiritual legacy, makes it a truly special find.
