Rare Dual-Sided White and Blue Lace Agate Geode Slice with Sparkly Purple Amethyst Druzy
What began as an ethically sourced agate geode was transformed when a slice was cut, revealing a true work of natural art. In this piece, rare agate bands and patterns blend seamlessly with a purple amethyst druzy, which crowns its aesthetics. This rare agate-amethyst geode slice is highly prized and ready to claim a top spot in your collection, décor, or gallery.
The agate takes center stage, its lacy bands forming continuously over millions of years. It started with intense blue layers that developed into different hues, depending on the minerals present in the silica at the time of formation.
What happened next, I can only call a miracle: a layer of crystals formed between the agate growth, possibly separating the white agate from the blue layers—potentially with millions of years between their formation.
After this geological marvel, rare white layers developed one after another, creating what is regionally called “bone agate”, which is highly sought after by collectors worldwide. To top it all, a layer of lavender purple amethyst with naturally polished faces sparkles at the center of the geode.
This color scheme and the sharp contrast between the lines are incredibly rare, and this may well be the only geode ever mined with such a combination.
This project started with the raw amethyst-agate geode and was carefully executed by us—we couldn’t be prouder of the result, enhancing the natural beauty to create a true artwork.
