This exceptional pair of tall, bookmatched amethyst cathedral geodes stands in an elegant, upright formation, featuring sparkling deep purple amethyst druzy crystals clustered densely to reflect light and create an impressive, luminous effect.
A pair of book-matching geodes of this size is a rare find, especially in such intact condition after extraction. The first characteristic to catch your eye is their symmetrical formation. Over millions of years, nature provided the ideal conditions for these amethyst crystals to grow, resulting in the beautiful lavender tones seen today.
The amethyst druzy displays a uniform, intense purple—almost black—color evenly distributed across both geodes, accented by distinctive calcite inclusions. These calcite crystals, further highlighted by goethite and cristobalite, add unique contrast to each piece. The edges of the geodes are framed by a delicate band of white agate, as if nature thoughtfully designed a frame for the sparkling amethyst within.
