This is a very special natural Quartz Crystal Sphere, combining exceptional clarity, beautiful proportions, and multiple internal rainbows. The raw crystal comes from Diamantina, Brazil—a historic region once known for diamond mining and now renowned for producing some of the finest clear quartz in the world.
More than 75% of the sphere is transparent to water-clear, allowing light to travel deeply through the quartz and revealing impressive optical depth. The remaining natural internal features—fine veils, fractures, and crystal markings—create vivid rainbow reflections that appear and shift as the sphere is viewed from different angles.
These natural rainbows add character without taking away from the overall clarity of the crystal, creating a unique internal landscape and making each viewing angle slightly different.
The sphere was expertly hand-cut and polished by an experienced artisan in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. Finished with cerium oxide, a professional polishing compound used in fine lapidary work, the surface has a smooth, mirror-like finish that enhances both the transparency and the internal rainbow effects.
