As we say in Brazil, “Fora de Série” — something truly exceptional, outside the ordinary, and impossible to replicate. That expression perfectly describes this pair of Citrine Cathedrals: two natural masterpieces with strong visual presence, rich color, and collector-grade quality. Both were ethically sourced directly from our hometown, Ametista do Sul, Brazil.
The color and crystal quality are among the main highlights. Both geodes display intense deep-orange to ember-red tones, among the most sought-after colors in high-grade citrine. The druzy is dense, bright, and highly reflective, with clean crystal faces that make the interiors sparkle like glowing embers under the light.
The crystal growth is also unusually varied. Some areas form flower-like clusters and rosettes, while others flow across the cavities in dense, river-like bands of sparkling citrine druzy. This gives both geodes a sculptural, organic appearance and makes each side visually unique.
The geode on the left features an additional highlight: a large calcite formation covered with fine galaxy druzy and hematite inclusions. The calcite is impressive enough to stand as a mineral specimen on its own and adds even more contrast, rarity, and character to the pair.
Their cathedral formations are another major highlight. Standing over 23 inches tall, the pair has elegant, vertical silhouettes with relatively thin agate matrices framing the crystal interiors. These natural borders work almost like frames around pieces of art, allowing the vivid citrine to remain the main focus. Because of the thin matrix, the geodes were carefully reinforced for stability and safe display.
With their intense color, dense sparkling druzy, artistic crystal growth, and impressive cathedral shapes, this pair is unquestionably AAA-grade, also known in Brazil as Super Extra quality.
