This natural Lemurian quartz sphere was carved from exceptional material sourced in Diamantina, Brazil—a region historically known for diamond mining and now respected worldwide for producing some of the clearest quartz. This piece stands out for its interior filled with rainbows, its clarity and translucency, and its beautifully balanced aesthetics.
The sphere shows outstanding transparency, allowing light to move freely through the quartz and reveal natural internal rainbows created by subtle natural features within the crystal. These formations create organic patterns that give the sphere depth and visual character—one of the defining qualities of high-grade Diamantina quartz.
The quartz was hand-cut and polished by an experienced artisan in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. The final polishing was completed using cerium oxide—the same compound used in fine gemstone cutting—resulting in a smooth, mirror-like surface that enhances clarity while preserving the natural integrity of the crystal.
