Rare Matching Pair of Amethyst and Citrine Geodes
This rare pair of cathedral geodes comes from the same original geode, later cut into two matching sister pieces. Together, they create a beautiful contrast: one side shows deep purple amethyst, while the other reveals rich orange citrine. The result is a striking natural set with strong visual balance, excellent presence, and true collector appeal.
The formation is one of the highlights. Both cathedrals have a thin basalt skin framing the crystal cavity, which opens into a landscape of sparkling galaxy druzy growth and flower formations. These details formed as chalcedony developed inside the geode first, followed by later crystal growth over it, creating depth, texture, and movement throughout the interior.
The amethyst side shows a lavender purple tone with clean, bright points and strong sparkle. The citrine side displays a warm orange color with clear, well-formed points that bring the color to life as light moves across the crystal faces. Because they come from the same geode, both pieces share the same shape, structure, and natural harmony, which makes the pair even more special.
The citrine side was carefully heat treated to achieve this rich orange tone while preserving the beauty of the original crystal formation. Paired with the natural amethyst half, it becomes a beautiful decorative statement and a rare matching set for collectors, interior designers, or anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind mineral display.
A rare sister geode pair with strong color, galaxy druzy, and elegant cathedral form, ready to stand out in a collection or interior space. Please check the pictures for more details, and feel free to message us with any questions or requests.
