AAA Amethyst Cluster with Cristobalite Inclusions (Deep Purple “Grape Jelly”)
A truly rare find, this AAA amethyst cluster features large, dark purple druzy points and visible cristobalite inclusions spread throughout the specimen. With its strong color, high crystal quality, and unusual internal features, it is a beautiful display piece for a collector shelf, gallery space, or refined home décor.
The first thing you notice is the druzy itself. The main points are extra large, fully intact, and show a deep, saturated purple tone often called Grape Jelly amethyst. The naturally reflective faces add bright sparkle across the surface, making the cluster eye-catching from every angle.
Another rare characteristic is the presence of cristobalite spheres, which appear like white bubbles floating within the purple crystal field. This kind of inclusion is not commonly seen in amethyst and adds another layer of collector interest to the piece.
Cristobalite is a high-temperature form of silica that forms under very specific conditions. Finding it preserved within an amethyst specimen is uncommon, which is why clusters showing both features together are so hard to come across.
