A rare and highly distinctive natural Agate Geode from Brazil, this specimen is defined by its deep black lace agate, clean white center, and beautifully preserved banding. The strong black-and-white contrast gives the geode a graphic, almost architectural appearance that makes it especially appealing as both a collector specimen and a decorative piece.

The formation is the main highlight. Broad layers of dark agate surround the center of the geode, gradually transitioning into finer gray and white bands. These concentric layers follow the natural shape of the cavity and create a dramatic frame around the bright central opening.

At the center, the agate becomes much lighter, forming a luminous white zone with delicate pale-blue and gray banding around the small crystal cavity. This sharp transition from almost-black agate to the bright white center gives the specimen exceptional visual depth and makes the internal formation stand out immediately.

Another important feature is its completely natural color. Black agate is commonly dyed in the commercial market, but this specimen has not been dyed, color-enhanced, or chemically treated. Its black, gray, and white tones are entirely natural.

The polished face reveals the internal banding while the original outer matrix remains visible around the edges, preserving the geological character of the geode.

This specimen comes from our father’s collection of carefully selected Brazilian agates. Pieces from this collection are only occasionally made available, making this a particularly special opportunity for a collector.
