Rare Blue Agate Geode with Purple Amethyst and Golden Cacoxenite Inclusions
Beautifully formed, this rare geode features an agate “frame” patiently built layer by layer, crowned by golden cacoxenite inclusions that complete the composition. The result is a natural piece that stands out both visually and geologically, with a balanced structure and a refined color palette that makes it equally suited for an energy-focused space or as a distinctive conversation piece in refined décor.
The agate banding develops through a gradual color transition, beginning with sky-blue tones along the outer layers and deepening inward into darker blue and cotton-candy blue hues near the center. This type of color evolution is uncommon and results in a truly one-of-a-kind agate pattern shaped over millions of years.
After the agate geode took shape and grew in conjunction with the amethyst, cacoxenite (goethite) needles formed, creating a subtle golden band that frames the amethyst. This feature offers insight into the complex, mineral-rich environment present during the later stages of formation.
