Its remarkable internal transparency is interrupted only by a few subtle natural features, where small rainbows appear within the quartz. These colorful flashes add character and depth to the sphere while preserving its exceptionally clean, water-clear appearance.
The large quartz crystal used to create this sphere was expertly hand-cut and polished by an experienced lapidary artisan in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. Finished with cerium oxide, a professional polishing compound used in fine gemstone work, the sphere has a smooth, mirror-like surface that enhances its transparency and brilliance.
