Collector Clear Quartz Plate Cluster from Serra do Cabral (Diamantina, Brazil)
This Collector Clear Quartz Plate Cluster stands out for its broad, low-profile formation and dozens of optical-grade, water-clear crystal points. Sourced from the renowned Serra do Cabral region, this specimen showcases a wide crystal landscape with exceptional clarity and natural structure.
The main highlight is the way the quartz developed across a shared matrix. Instead of forming a compact vertical cluster, the crystals grew outward in multiple directions, creating a three-dimensional plate-like formation with depth, movement, and a strong horizontal presence.
Longer terminations rise toward the center and back, while smaller intergrown crystals spread across the front and edges, forming a layered composition that resembles a natural crystal garden. This balance between height and density gives the specimen a refined and highly aesthetic look.
The quartz displays exceptional transparency, with reflective faces and well-formed terminations that catch the light from multiple angles. Several points extend outward beyond the edges of the plate, making the piece visually engaging from every perspective—front, sides, and above.
Quartz from Diamantina, Brazil is highly regarded for its clean growth and sharp structure, and this specimen preserves those qualities in their natural state, with the original matrix intact and the crystals left exactly as they formed.
