Rare Amethyst Geode with a White Agate Frame & Deep Purple Crystals
Amethyst geodes are not rare—thousands are found every year in Brazil—but this piece is an outlier. Its well-preserved agate frame, balanced proportions, and deep purple amethyst crystals come together in a format that feels refined, harmonious, and visually complete. The strong contrast of color, the quality of formation, and its natural aesthetics make it a standout addition to a crystal collection or a compelling centerpiece in any space.
The geode immediately draws attention with the white agate that frames the dark, sparkly amethyst interior. The agate lace flows naturally around the cavity and records millions of years of geological formation.
This amethyst geode features a deep, inward-facing opening, a formation that is especially valued in Chinese culture and Feng Shui. Geodes with a mouth that opens inward are traditionally associated with the idea of containment and accumulation—symbolizing the ability to gather, hold, and preserve energy, prosperity, money, and harmony rather than letting it disperse outward.
This medium-to-small-sized geode stands just over 12 inches tall and weighs approximately 28 lbs. Its structure consists of a thin basalt base covered by agate layers surrounding the crystal-lined cavity. The piece has been carefully reinforced to ensure stability while preserving its natural form.
Sourced directly from my hometown, Ametista do Sul, Brazil, this specimen comes with the peace of mind of being ethically mined and responsibly handled. Please review the photos for details, and feel free to message us if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
