Rare Triangular “Butterfly” Formation • Deep Purple Amethyst Druzy on White Agate Frame
Amethyst geodes can form in many shapes, but this rare matched pair has something you almost never see: a clean, naturally triangular crystal pocket. Geode cavities usually form as rounded or oval pockets, so a sharply defined triangle, especially in a mirrored pair, is truly rare.
Paired with rich purple amethyst druzy, a sharp white agate frame, and the natural green basalt skin, the piece has a bold, geometric look that feels both natural and architectural.
Inside, the druzy shows a beautiful purple tone and bright sparkle, with well-formed points that catch the light as you move it. The white banding outlines the pocket like a natural frame, adding contrast and making the triangle even more eye-catching.
A clean triangular pocket like this is almost unheard of in natural geodes, especially when defined in a mirrored pair and with such strong characteristics. Please check the pictures to see more of it, and feel free to message us if you have any questions or particular requests.
